A buffet of independent artists await your attention on the 'net...

If there are any peeps out there who remember and are fans of the film 'If Lucy Fell,' starring Sarah Jessica Parker in her pre-'Sex and the City' fame, then you might remember the very, very sultry and sad alternative sound of the band Marry Me Jane, which never had mainstream success but won a cult following via the Net and the movies.

The lead singer of that band wasn't Jane at all. Her name is Amanda Kravat, and she's still around. She's solo now, and has appeared in as well as composed for many independent films such as 'Wirey Spindell,' an independent film written, directed and starring indie-fave Eric Schaeffer (He played Joe in 'If Lucy Fell'). And while her Web site leaves something to be desired (apologies to 99 cent buddha), it does offer goodies such as a few mp3s you can download. It's even updated pretty regularly. Point your clicker to amandakravat.com.
